St Helens CCG has commissioned Kooth - an online counselling and wellbeing platform for children 11-25 years!

St Helens CCG has commissioned Kooth, an online counselling and wellbeing platform for children and young people in St Helens aged from 11-25.

The service is now live, free to use and can be accessed via: Kooth.com

Kooth, from the UK’s leading digital mental health expert XenZone, provides young people with instant free and anonymous access to a qualified counsellor, self-help materials, live moderated discussion forums and tools such as online journals and goal trackers. Young people can also contribute written pieces of work reflecting their own experiences.

Launching Kooth is just the beginning of the wider strategy to improve the emotional and mental wellbeing support offered to the children and young people in St Helens, and goes some way to addressing the need for the most appropriate support in the most effective way.

Kooth will work collaboratively alongside existing mental health services in the area, including CAMHS and Barnardo’s, along with other partners in education and social care.

If you have any queries regarding this service, how it works or what it offers, then please do get in touch via email at sthelens@xenzone.com or contact Darren Birks, Children’s Commissioning Manager, at Darren.birks@sthelensccg.nhs.uk or on 01744 675364.

Please spread the word amongst your respective services and colleagues - Kooth cards and a posters here for download.
